My Weekend...
Oct. 8th, 2002 10:06 pmWell, i had a GREAT weekend. i went to a Gather of UK members of AFD in London, and it was really good! It was my first Gather, and i was a bit nervous about meeting a lot of people i didn't know, (although i've known Anna for nearly 3 years, and have met her before).
So i arrived in London's Victoria Station, and met Tal and Ordos, and we went off to meet Aeon at another station, and then G'leth arrived a bit annoyed after waiting for an hour for someone else at another station but they never turned up!
Then we all went off to go to Gwyn's house (as she was hosting the Gather). i met several other people at Gwyn's - i hope i can remember all of their names. There was Gelgisith, Larana, Jacel, Kestenan, Goldenfire, Tal, Julian, Malakus, Sigridir, and Anna. Tal and Julian went back home for the night, but the rest of us slept in sleeping bags on the floor!
On Saturday we went to the British Musuem, and were met by Tal, who had brought Contention with her, and Rai met us there later on.
The British Museum was a very cool place! lots of nice exhibits of gold and money and various nice shiny things!
Also there were nice swords and things in the medieval section!
After the museum we all went back to Gwyn's and in the evening we went for a meal at a 'Chicago Rock Cafe' which was really nice. (Although i found it funny when Gwyn rang up to make a reservation and book a table for SIXTEEN! - heehee! - i bet they never expected that!)
On Sunday we "were" gonna go bowling, but most people were not up in time, so we stayed in and watched the Sci-fi Channel which had some Anime and other stuff, and then people started leaving to go home from 4pm.
i left at 6pm and managed to change my coach ticket to take an earlier coach home and got home at around 10.45pm (which is better than the original ticket's arrival home time of 1.45am!)
i was also lucky that i had booked Monday off work, so i didn't have to get up early! Yay!
Anyway, that's kind of a quick re-cap of the weekend. i'm sure i've forgotten to mention some stuff, (or elaborate in greater detail), but if i remember, i may update this!
